Our approach

Each piece begins with an idea rather than a template. Whether creating a functional object or a statement design, attention is given to proportion, material and finish, ensuring the final piece feels resolved and considered. Commissions are guided rather than prescribed, allowing space for collaboration while respecting the integrity of the materials and the making process.

Materials and inspiration

Inspiration is drawn from the natural character of the materials themselves. Grain, variation and subtle imperfection are embraced rather than disguised. Working primarily with carefully selected woods, each piece is allowed to develop in response to its material, resulting in work that feels grounded, tactile and enduring.

Craft and making

Pieces are made in small numbers, with a focus on careful construction and finishing. Time is taken where it matters, ensuring each item meets the standard expected of a bespoke commission. The result is work that values longevity and detail over speed or repetition.

Frequently asked questions

How long do commissioned pieces take?

Lead times vary depending on the scale and complexity of the piece. An indicative timeframe is discussed following the initial enquiry, once details such as materials, dimensions and finish are agreed.

Yes. Commissions are created to order and can be personalised across materials, dimensions, finishes and selected details. Available pieces may also offer limited personalisation where appropriate.

Finished pieces can be collected by appointment from Cannock, Staffordshire, or delivered to your address. Delivery options and costs are discussed as part of the enquiry process.

While past work may be used as inspiration, each commission is created as a new piece. Designs are adapted to suit individual requirements rather than reproduced exactly.
